Operation Christmas Pet
Faith Forward Outreach is also committed to caring for our four-legged, furry friends. Through our yearly initiative, Operation Christmas Pet, we work to ensure that animals in need are nourished, protected, and cared for. Each year, we partner with local businesses to collect donations of pet food, treats, toys, bedding, and other essential supplies for shelters and families who may be struggling to provide for their pets.
Our Why – Compassionate Paws Animal Ministry
Compassion Paws Animal Ministry exists because of Bruce.
Bruce was rescued from a shelter and immediately captured the heart of his owner, becoming more than a companion—he became a lifeline. Professionally trained as a service dog, Bruce faithfully stood beside his owner through years of battling cancer, offering strength, comfort, and unwavering loyalty when it was needed most.
After cancer was defeated, Bruce’s purpose continued. He became a leader in detection work, serving as the top and demonstration dog for a professional training facility and earning multiple awards. His life reflected redemption, purpose, and the powerful impact of compassion when love is given a chance.
When Bruce passed away in 2023, his legacy did not end—it became the mission. Compassion Paws Animal Ministry was created to honor his life by rescuing, training, and restoring animals so they may, in turn, serve and bring hope, healing, and purpose to others. We believe every animal deserves a second chance and that compassion—when stewarded well—can change lives on both ends of the leash.
Our Mission:
Our mission is to serve our community through faith, compassion, and action by helping people care for the pets God has entrusted to them. We provide food, resources, education, and prayer to families and individuals experiencing homelessness with pets in Gaston County and surrounding areas, working alongside local rescues and shelters to bring hope, healing, and dignity to both people and animals.
